Client: Scotts Professional

Challenge

Scotts are the professional arm of Miracle-gro. If they are to continue to increase market share by 10% each year it is important they support their vast sales teams with relevant and timely marketing communications. Given the growing concern for all issues environmental we were asked to develop sales support materials that demonstrate Scotts’ commitment to providing sustainable products and services.

Solution

We developed an A4 8pp brochure to demonstrate Scotts’ passion for the environment and how, in everything they do, they are committed to sustainability. The information within the brochure provides hard evidence of Scotts’ sustainability credentials, delivered in a compelling and unarguable way. The end result is a piece of communication which aims to support the sales team in increasing sales through procurement channels and with customers who want to know they’re making good, environmental conscious purchases.

The sustainability argument we constructed in answer to this brief has become an integral part of Scotts’ communications positioning and we’re now working on a brand re-positioning project with Scotts as a result.

Results

All of Scotts’ international marketing departments have requested translated versions of the brochure. Sales results will be available for evaluation later this year.
